Vimicro Wins Competitive Bid With Estimated Contract Size Of $3.7 Mln

Vimicro International (VIMC), a provider of video-surveillance technology in China, said it won a competitive bid for the provision of Surveillance Video and Audio Coding-compliant video surveillance products to Handan Municipal Government in Hebei Province, with an estimated contract size of RMB 23 million, or about $3.7 million.

Shares in Vimicro were up 4% to $2.55 recently. The stock has traded between $1.10 and $5.18 over the past 52 weeks.
