Send and request money, right from Gmail

Google is allowing users to transfer funds on email. The service is coming in over the next few weeks for all Gmail users who are over 18 in the UK.
Google says the service will be free. You can even send requests for how much money you’d like to receive. You will be able to safely and securely send friends and family money, but only via the desktop browser.
Google launched the service, which works in conjunction with Google Wallet, in its native US back in May 2013 and there it has stayed, until Thursday’s announcement.
The system is very easy to use. Hovering over the attachment icon in a Gmail message will bring up the ‘£’ button. Click on it and type in the amount of money you wish to send. It will be debited from your Google Wallet and sent to whomever you’re emailing.
