San Diego Private School La Jolla Country Day School closed after Bomb Threat
A La Jolla school will be closed because of a bomb threat. Classes were canceled Wednesday at La Jolla Country Day School considering a bomb warning.
FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth told that on Tuesday the school received a bomb threat via telephone from “a known individual” threatening to place a bomb on campus. Foxworth said the person is not a student or a staff member at the school.
Foxworth said they do not believe the threat is affiliated with any of the other recent school threats.
According to Foxworth school officials decided to cancel classes today out of “an abundance of caution.” La Jolla Country Day, located at 9490 Genesee Ave., serves nearly 1,200 students from age 3 to grade 12.
The FBI, San Diego Police Department and the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department are fact-finding the occurrence.
