Neil Patrick Harris ready to Host the Oscar 2015

Neil Patrick Harris is ready to host the Oscar 2015. The 87th Academy Awards ceremony will be held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on February 22, 2015. There are plenty of eyes on who will land the coveted job of hosting the night’s festivities.

This will be Harris first time as host. Harris hosted the Tony Awards last year and Emmy in 2013 and 2009, so with Oscar, he is seemingly going for the EGOT sweep of hosts. He has won five Emmys and this year took home a Tony for the lead role in the musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” Harris has experience hosting non-musical awards shows.

The 41-year-old Harris took to social media to spread the news, posting a video that shows him crossing “Host the Oscars” off of his bucket list.

Neil Patrick Harris is an American actor, writer, producer, director, magician, comedian, and singer. He is best known for playing Barney Stinson in the television comedy series How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014), for which he was nominated for four Emmy Awards.

The 87th Oscar show will air live on ABC TV.
