Andy Murray beat Marcel Granollers at Madrid Masters

Andy Murray beat Spanish wildcard Marcel Granollers and reach the Madrid Masters last eight. He beat Philipp Kohlschreiber for the second time in three days in a late finish at the Madrid Open.

Murray’s 6-4 3-6 6-0 second-round win after his first-ever Munich title on Monday at the German’s expense.

Murray said: A “very tired” he had to “bluff” Granollers.

“I tried to pump myself as much as possible for this match and bluff him to show I was feeling OK said Murray.”

He will now face fifth seed Milos Raonic today after the Canadian defeated Argentina’s Leonardo Mayer 6-4 6-3.
